Köln

Cologne (Köln) is the largest city in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth-largest city in Germany with around 1.1 million inhabitants. Founded in 38 BC by the Ubii, a Germanic tribe, and later settled by the Romans, Cologne is one of Germany's oldest cities with over 2,000 years of history. The city is a major cultural center for the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and was the historic capital of the Archbishopric of Cologne. Today, Cologne is the largest city in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and serves as the headquarters to several major companies and media organizations.
